11/4/25: i am not very good at being human but i am good at being a trope

Marco told me about this collaborative journaling project two days ago and last night I thought, Oh I will start this later, and i also thought this the night before, and i had my computer lying there on my bed like some pathetic, hard, cold, aluminum teddy bear and I couldn’t be bothered to turn over and open it up and press a few buttons. I figured he hadn’t started either, but it turns out he’d already bought a notebook so

but it’s okay because he hadn’t started yet until we’d spoken about it and now we are starting today.

Today i woke up and then i went back to sleep and then i woke up and watched half a movie and then i went back to sleep and then i woke up and went to go buy shrooms and also edibles because even the bong hurts my throat these days and i also grabbed butter on the way home. i was stupidly happy and i was skipping down broadway like a Freak in soren’s vetements hoodie that says SEXUAL FANTASIES on it in hot magenta. it’s a bit drakesque in my opinion but the purple fabric, dated as that particular shade is, is heavy (heavier than that of any hoodie I’ve ever bought) and warm, and new york is cold enough as of late that my cheap, pedestrian hoodies don’t cut it.

i hope Soren is doing ok.

the movie i decided to watch is called Watching the Detectives. it stars cillian murphy playing a white film bro, and he looks stupidly attractive and like all of my exes mashed together: the nondescript heathered blue/gray/white shirts with the ill-fitting jeans/khakis, the mousy, endearingly unstylish haircut, and the seemingly complete inability to charm by choice. the movie also stars lucy liu playing a Manic Pixie Dream Girl. my math tutor in sixth grade told me that i looked like lucy liu. i told him, no exaggeration, No i don’t. You’re just saying that because im asian. he responded, Well, it’s less about the features and more about your Energy. i am still not really sure what he meant by that because i don’t really know lucy liu like that. in Watching the Detectives, the plot is driven completely by lucy liu’s character consistently doing Crazy things. she giggles a lot and wears cute clothes and does things like skipping down the street, and once on a date i asked him if he wanted to walk around town and try doors and see which ones opened and he said, No, but do you want to go to a bar? Oh right, i forgot you don’t drink.
